Schools consultative ballot update

A Big Thank You to all who participated in the School Consultative Ballot.

I am very pleased to say that the contribution you made resulted in the response from St Helens being one of the highest in England. Well Done!

The Consultative Ballot results confirmed that UNISON members:

  • overwhelmingly think that Government funding cuts ARE
    having a negative impact on schools;
  • want UNISON to continue to campaign on school funding;
  • and many of you are not ready to take matters as far as industrial action to achieve change. (I am sure this was not an easy decision, but we respect your views)

UNISON will continue with our campaign to get the Government to increase funding for schools and early years working alongside key
partners to achieve a fair funding system.

And finally, just a reminder that we are still looking for all schools to have a Workplace Contact who will circulate information to
members on our behalf. If you are willing to become a Contact for your school, please email your details through directly by clicking the link below.
