At UNISON St Helens, we support over 2800 members working across local government and the private sector.
We take a lead role in negotiating on pay and terms and conditions as well as representing members experiencing problems at work.
Here at UNISON St Helens, we pride ourselves on giving our members the best help we can by using our network of workplace stewards as well as our highly experienced branch based convenors.
All our workplace stewards and convenors are TUC trained and receive regular refresher training. We have a team of dedicated administrative staff that ensure the branch is effectively managed. All branch staff, officers and stewards can call on support from both regional and national resources.
UNISON is one of the largest trade unions in both the UK and Europe, serving more than 1.3 million members. We represent full-time and part-time staff who provide public services in both the public and private sector.
Most people will join a union because they recognise the protection that this will give them at work, whether that is help with pay and conditions, health and safety in the workplace, legal issues or workplace representation when they need it.
Anyone can face problems at work every now and then but as a member of UNISON, we make sure you don’t have to face them alone.
